Looking for a festival that nurtures your mind and body whilst soothing your soul? This handy guide gives you the lowdown on the UK’s best wellness festivals taking place in 2021. From yoga retreats and meditation sessions, to laughter workshops and everything in-between, look no further.

What’s it all about? A showcase of mindful living practices to aid healthier, happier lives and restful sleep, including:

  • The Mindful Living Show (Professionals) – over 120 expert speakers in the fields of mindfulness and wellbeing; exploring the benefits of mindfulness in Health, Education, Wellbeing, Human Resources and Management.

  • The Mindful Living Show (The Zen Market) – an array of exhibitors offering experiences and hands-on demonstrations.

  • The Mindful Living Show (Mindful Minis) – a collection of mindfulness, relaxation and creative exercises designed for young people.

  • The Sleep Show – learn how to sleep well and live happy.

  • Friday Night Wind Down – this is a separate ticketed event featuring rest and relaxation sessions to ease into the weekend; includes mindful movement, sound healing, group meditation, nutritional foods and uplifting music.

Live Well London What’s it all about? Live Well London has been designed to help you take care of your emotional and physical wellbeing; it includes yogis in a ‘Vibe & Flow Yoga and Pilates Studio’, meditation workshops delivered by gurus in ‘The Retreat’, inspiring talks hosted in ‘The Knowledge Hub’, cookery sessions in a ‘Live Cooking & Nutrition Theatre’, in-demand trainers and wellness experts on the ‘Move It Main Stage’, plus a collection of wellness brands exhibiting at the event. The Mind, Body and Spirit Wellbeing Festival Birmingham What’s it all about? The festival features motivational speakers, musicians, artists and performers. There will also be an exhibitor hall featuring wellbeing products, organic food, therapies, jewellery, holistic retreats and more. Visitors will also be treated to a host of experiences, including a wellbeing studio, a pop-up temple, a ceremony space, a wellbeing spa, a silent disco and the ‘Alchemy of Sound’. Women’s Health Live What’s it all about? From must-see panel talks to a line-up of international fitness stars, sports personalities and celebrities, Women’s Health Live is a must for health tribes. When? The event is usually held in April or May; watch this space for 2021 dates (still TBC)!

Balance Festival What’s it all about? A festival to celebrate the ‘live fit, happy and healthy’ revolution. At Balance you’ll discover fitness trainers from the likes of Barry’s Bootcamp, Boom Cycle, Method Movement and F45 in the boutique studios; there’ll also be yogis in the meditation dome, chefs at the live cooking theatre and a curated selection of wellness brands at the Balance market.

When? 7-9 May 2021

The Mind, Body and Spirit Wellbeing Festival London What’s it all about? The details haven’t been released yet, so watch this space! When? 28-31 May 2021

Where? Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, Kensington, London, W14 8UX (nearest station is Kensington (Olympia) on the overground, one stop from Shepherd's Bush (Central line) or West Brompton (District line) tube stations.

Happy Place Festival What’s it all about? Founded by Fearne Cotton and described as the ‘Woodstock of Wellness’ by Russell Brand, the Happy Place Festival is an immersive experience to unlock your creativity and connect the mind, body and spirit. Previous events have featured a Craft Village, a Meditation Mountain, a Wellbeing Garden, a Family Retreat, The Talk Lounge, a Marketplace and a Main Stage. If you’ve listened to Fearne’s Happy Place podcast or read her Sunday Times best-selling book ‘Happy’, then this festival should be next on your hit list! When? 2021 dates are still TBC; the festival has been hosted during June in previous years.

Where? The festival has previously been hosted in two locations: Chiswick House and Gardens, London and Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, so may be located here in future. Keep an eye on the festival website for the 2021 location which is still TBC.

Sweatlife Festival What’s it all about? Sweatlife is Lululemon’s fitness festival When? The festival usually takes place in June; the 2021 dates are still TBC. In the meantime, Lululemon have an online hub (the sweatlife studio) for workouts and mindfulness practices that you can do anywhere, any time.

What’s it all about? A health and wellness festival experience designed and developed by Davina McCall, including:

  • Main Stage – featuring an array of workouts from headliner acts, including Davina McCall!

  • WellTalk – all the latest wellness tips delivered by a number of qualified health and wellness experts, plus Q&As with the event headliners

  • WellVillage – a market full of wellness brand exhibitors with lots of new products ready to purchase.

  • WellFlow – sessions delivered by world-renowned yogis and Pilates practitioners

  • WellKids – a variety of fitness and creative activities for the little ones to enjoy, including yoga, zumba classes and creative sessions.

Love Fit What’s it all about? An adventure of fitness, well-being, and magical forest parties. Hosted over 3 days, the festival is for beginners and fitness junkies alike. Hidden amongst the Heritage Pine Forest trees, it combines the usual festival fare with talks, debates, classes, holistic treatments in the spa and an impressive studio line up. When? 16-18 July 2021

Entry price? A presale weekend ticket costs £99.00+booking fee and tax.

What’s it all about? A wellbeing festival to ‘put yourself back together’ and recalibrate. The festival includes yoga sessions, holistic therapies and a musical line up during a revitalising and energising weekend in the Cotswolds. Additional options include access to showers, hot tubs and spa treatments during the weekend.

Verve Festival What’s it all about? Set in the Cranborne Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Verve combines and celebrates health, wellness and nature. You’ll get to forest bathe in the ancient woodland, join in farm runs, relax and have a treatment in the Zest Spa or stargaze the night away. You can expect a range of classes including yoga, Pilates, meditation, sound bathing, breathwork, fitness and dance classes. You’ll also have the chance to listen to inspiring expert speakers, on topics including physical and mental health, wellbeing and self-improvement. When? 3-5 September 2021

Entry price? 2020 tickets will automatically transfer to 2021 and further tickets will be released for the 2021 festival in due course (ticket prices TBC). Watch this space!

Good Karma Cardiff Festival of Wellbeing What’s it all about? A programme for the local community to inspire the mind, body and soul. The event includes talks delivered by inspiring speakers on topics such as confidence building, crystal therapy, yoga, dance, meditation, healing and nutrition; there is also a marketplace for holistic retail therapy, an array of vegan and vegetarian food, plus music and demonstrations. When? 2021 dates are still TBC, the event has previously been held during September.

If you’re a festival junkie and want a place to escape the hedonism for a while, then look no further, as there are also a number of music festivals in the UK that include wellness experiences:

Glastonbury Festival What’s it all about? The iconic Glastonbury Festival is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. The ‘Healing Fields’ are a Glastonbury institution and are renowned for being the festival’s chill-out area; it’s the space where you’ll discover mystical and creative gardens, healing and togetherness ceremonies, yoga, tai chi, dance classes, laughter workshops, meditation, massages and highly skilled healers. ‘Humblewell’ is a new wellness space in The Park area of the festival site; the new space features Mind counsellors, an acupuncture clinic, a range of yoga classes including sleep recovery yoga, Kirtan (devotional singing), breath work, gong baths, group meditation and mindfulness sessions, creative mindfulness colouring-in workshops or you can put an even bigger smile on your face by joining in with a laughter yoga session! Green Man Festival What’s it all about? Green Man is an independent music festival held annually in Wales’ Brecon Beacons. The tranquil ‘Nature Nurture’ nook within the festival is cocooned in a cluster of oak trees and offers a dreamy dose of rejuvenation. You can soothe your soul and rest your weary limbs during yoga classes, restorative massages, meditation sessions and workshops. When? 19-22 August 2021

Wilderness Festival What’s it all about? Wilderness Festival is a boutique UK music festival hosted in a lakeside woodland setting in Oxfordshire's Cornbury Park. The ‘Outdoors’ area of the festival features wild swimming, boating, forest bathing, horse riding and wild medicine walks. The ‘Wellbeing and The Sanctuary’ area includes a lakeside spa, paddleboard yoga, botanicals workshops, bootcamps and an immersive sound experience. When? 5-8 August 2021
